Exchanging Hard Disk with Damper

10. Now remove the old hard disk and insert the new hard disk.
11. Plug-in the cables at the hard disk and, if necessary, at the CD-DVD drive.
Connection pins must not be bent!
NOTICE
Check the cable connections leading to the hard disk for tightness.
12. After plugging-in the cables, put the VSB 40.1 again in the mounting plate
(mounting frame). Do not squeeze any cables.
13. Connect the mounting plate (mounting frame) and the VSB 40.1 with the
four screws.
14. The new hard disk parameters are automatically identified by the system.
If the operating system does not boot automatically, interrupt the power
supply for at least 10 seconds. A restart must be carried out again.
15. Restore the user data as well as the operating system settings for the
normal mode after a regular boot of the PC.
In case of VSB 40.1 devices containing hard disks with damper, it is located
below the device, see
fig. 8-13 "Location of the hard disk with damper" on page
66.

To be able to replace the hard disk, remove the fastening screw of the hard disk
frame on the bottom side of the VSB 40.1, see
disk frame and of the fastening screw" on page

67. After releasing the retaining spring, unplug the
ribbon cable, with which the hard disk is connected to the main board. Now the
