Installing and Replacing Components Other than Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Accelerated Data Path
IP2450 appliances ship with four DIMMs installed in slots J7, J10, J46, and J48, and these slots
should be used for any DIMM replacements with all four slots occupied. For memory upgrades,
install additional DIMMS in slots J8, J9, J45, and J47.
Note
DIMMs slots J7, J10, J46, and J48 must always be populated in pairs, and, if additional
DIMMs are installed, slots J8, J9, J45, and J47 must also be completely populated. Each of
these sets of four DIMMs must all be the same identical type.
