6.3 Editing of Configuration Information

This section describes how to do additional settings to the configuration information you already set in the section
"3.3 Configuration Information Settings" and how to change it.
The examples below shows how to change the line name of the Ethernet port 1/0 from "ethernet1/0"
to "LAN1" and change the IP address from "192.168.2.1" to "192.168.2.3".
(1) Enter the edit mode of configuration information.
Enter the edit mode of configuration information according to the following procedures.
(Skip to the section "(2) Check the contents you input" in case that you've already entered
the edit mode.)

NOTE
After entering the edit mode of configuration definition, a configuration information file will be
opened automatically. Note that the example above is for the case where an active configuration
information file on memory is opened. You can open a designated spare file for configuration
information by inputting a file name after the "configure file" command.
For details about a spare configuration information file, see GR4000 Software Manual
Configuration Settings CLI-CLI Type 1 Hierarchical Input Format-.
NOTE
A device name you input will be shown at the beginning of a prompt
(2) Check the contents you input.
Check the settings for the following items by displaying the configuration information currently set.
・line name for the Ethernet port 1/0,IP address
・RIP for the Ethernet port 1/0

...Enter the administrator mode.
...Input a password of administrator.
...Enter the edit mode.
