Danger and warning notices – symbol explanations
The following danger and warning notices are used in this document:
Danger
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death, serious
injury, or substantial damage to property.
Warning
Indicates an potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death, or
serious injury, or substantial property damage.
Caution
Used with the safety alert symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury or property damage.
Caution
Used without safety alert symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in property damage.
Notice
Used without the safety alert symbol indicates a potential situation which, if not avoided, may
result in an undesirable result or state.
Note
This notice indicates that there are further issues to be taken into consideration.
