Principle of measurement with trigger sensor

It is possible to measure the crankshaft angle for piston pumps whose valves are coupled
acoustically.
For this purpose, the trigger sensor at the crankshaft will record the reference angle 0° as
the center of the trigger pulse. The measuring device determines the closing angle phi of the
defective valve. The closing angle is the angle between reference angle and acoustic
emission signal.

Sound pressure level generates a load-dependent operating noise of the pump.
Sound pressure level generated by the operating noise of the pump as well as leakage.
Is equal to the measured value of the acoustic diagnostic unit and corresponds to the
additional noise created by the leakage.
