The MW-520 typically communicates over a radio data network consisting of a
central (host) computer that runs messaging and form-generation software, a radio
network control processor, and remote base stations with a general
communications controller.
This network configuration enables messages to be transmitted and received
quickly and accurately, and ensures the availability of information when and
where it is needed. This also means that the MW-520 user can download and edit
forms located on the host computer, regardless of the user's location.
Through the use of several base stations, a single frequency can be reused for
wide area coverage. This allows different messages to be transmitted
simultaneously to different workstations.
MW-520 is a terminal product for private and shared markets. The mobile device
supports data entry via a keyboard, touchpad and touchscreen (optional).
It consists of three separate interconnected components: processor unit, display
unit, and keyboard.
