The Display Unit
The display unit is a color, active-matrix LCD. The display includes seven pre-
defined buttons and six user-defined buttons.
The pre-defined buttons are:
• Power
• Suspend/Resume
• Backlight On/Off
• Brightness
• Volume On/Off (mute)
• Emergency
The Emergency button is located in the lower left corner of the display unit. It can
only be used if the application supports its functionality.
The other buttons are located near the LCD, adjacent to the respective LEDs.
The Suspend button is a toggle switch.
In Suspend mode the display is turned off, and the electrical circuits enter a power
saving mode. When MW-520 wakes-up from Suspend mode, the previous
terminal state is restored (previous display, LED indications, etc.).
The display unit can use a touch screen (optional).
