Prepare Suspension Ceiling for Installation
You must use the appropriate In-ceiling Support Kit to install the AutoDome In-ceiling housing
into a suspended or drop ceiling. This kit requires a separate purchase.

Choose the desired location to mount the dome.
Use the bracket Base Plate as a template to cut a 7.9 in. hole with a tolerance of ±1/8 in.
(200 mm ± 2.2 mm) hole in the ceiling with a drywall utility saw or Jig Saw. Proceed to
Section 4.6 Wire the Interface Box, page 51, for further instructions.
Choose the desired location to mount the dome, and remove an adjacent ceiling tile.
Loosen the four (4) securing screws, located in the corners of the Bracket Assembly,
enough to hold the suspension bars but still allowing adjustment during installation.
