Installing/Mounting
● Ensure that the correct level of ventilation and air flow is provided
● Ensure that earthing and grounding practices for each Power Module follows the
22
guidelines given in this document.
WARNING
Heatsink retaining screws
The heatsinks of the PM230 IP55 Power Modules (FSA to FSC) are fixed to the main
housing of the Power Module by a number of retaining screws. These screws MUST not
be removed. The heatsink retaining screws are shown in the figure below (circled in
red).
CAUTION
Mounting and cooling of the Power Module
The Power Module should be wall-mounted to ensure that the rear of the Power Module
is against a flat surface, thereby allowing the correct airflow to provide the optimum
cooling for the Power Module. Alternatively, if the Power Module is not wall-mounted the
rear of the heatsink must be covered with a flat surface to ensure the correct airflow.
It is important to ensure that the internal fans of the Power Modules are fitted correctly
before the Inverter is operated. Failure to ensure that the fans are connected correctly
could result in the Inverter overheating.
