Storage
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, raise the
cutting unit to the T
the parking brake, shut off the engine, and
remove the key.
2.
Thoroughly clean the cutting unit, paying special
attention to these areas:
•
Underneath the cutting unit
•
Under the cutting unit belt cover
•
PTO shaft assembly
•
All grease fittings and pivot points
3.
Check and adjust the traction-unit front and rear
tire pressure; refer to the traction-unit Operator's
Manual.
4.
Sharpen all blades and replace any damaged
blades as necessary; refer to
Blades (page 28)

29).
5.
Check all fasteners for looseness and tighten
them as necessary.
6.
Grease or oil all grease fittings and pivot points
and wipe off any excess lubricant; refer to
Lubricating the Cutting Unit (page
7.
Lightly sand and use touch up paint on painted
areas that are scratched, chipped, or rusted.
Repair any dents.
