100 Maintenance
Frame R7i – internal module fan replacement

WARNING!
Obey the safety instructions of the drive. If you ignore them, injury or
death, or damage to the equipment can occur. If you are not a qualified
electrical professional, do not do installation, commissioning or
maintenance work.
WARNING!
Use the required personal protective equipment. Wear protective gloves and
long sleeves. Some parts have sharp edges.
1.
Stop the drive and do the steps in section
before you start the work.
2.
Detach and move aside the wiring in front of the module.
3.
Remove the four screws that hold the faceplate of the module. Remove the
faceplate.
4.
Remove the two screws that attach the circuit board holder to the module frame.
5.
Carefully pull the circuit board holder outward until you have access to the cooling
fan at the bottom of the holder. Detach the wiring coming to the circuit boards
if necessary.
6.
Disconnect the wiring of the fan.
7.
Remove the two screws that hold the fan. Remove the fan.
8.
Install a new fan in reverse order to the above. Note that the direction of airflow
is up.
