Precautions
Do not touch the contacts on the front
panel or on the mounting base, since
this may result in poor electrical
contact.
If dirt or other foreign sub-
stances get on the contacts, wipe them
with a clean, dry cloth. (Fig. 22) (Fig. 23)
Do not touch the pin located above the
mounting base contacts.
This pin is a switch that determines
whether or not the front panel is
currently mounted. If you touch this pin,
and accidentally bend or break it, the
unit will not be able to function.

Precautions When Handling the
Front Panel
Do not leave the front panel in any area
exposed to high temperatures or direct
sunlight.
Do not drop the front panel or other-
' wise subject it to strong impact.
Do not allow such volatile agents as
benzine, thinner, or insecticides to
come into contact with the surface of
the front panel.
Never try to disassemble the front
panel.
Stereo/monaural Mode of
Sub-woofer Gz@o
The sub-woofer outputs of this unit has
been set to stereo (2 channels for the left
and right). In case you can use only one
sub-woofer due to the limited space or if
you want to output the same monaural
audio from the left and right sub-woofers,
it is possible to switch the sub-woofer
outputs to monaural.
While holding button [4] and (F1) of
buttons [9] depressed, switch the car
ignition switch from OFF to ACC or ON.
This switches the sound alternately
between stereo and monaural.
