6.8 Water pump
6.8.1 To disassemble the Water pump
If the product comes with a suction hose and/or a dis-
charge hose connected, remove these first (see Figure
3).

1. Remove the M8 bolts (A) and the washers (B) and
remove the pump house (C).
2. Remove the large O-ring (D).
3. Remove the Impeller cover (E) and the seal (F).
4. Lock the flywheel so that the flywheel can not turn.
5. Remove the bolt (G) and the washer (H) and re-
move the Impeller (I).
6. Remove the key (J).
7. Remove the seal (N).
8. Remove the bolts (K) and the washers (L).

9. Remove the cover (M).
6.8.2 To clean and examine the Water pump
Clean pump housing, impeller and other parts from dirt
and deposits. Examine that the parts are not damaged.
Replace any damaged parts.

Suction hose installation (see Figure 3)
Use a commercially available hose (G). Use the hose
connector/hose clamps (C, D, E) provided with the pump
if necessary. The suction hose (G) must be reinforced
with a no collapsible wall or braided wire construction
and cannot contain any perforations.
Do not use a hose smaller than the pump s suction port
size. Minimum hose size W 40P 1.5 inch 40 mm
The suction hose (G) should be no longer than neces-
sary. Pump performance is best when the pump is near
the water level and the hoses are short.
Use a hose clamp (C) to securely fasten the hose con-
nector to the suction hose (G) in order to prevent air
leakage and loss of suction. Verify that the hose connec-
tor sealing washer (F) is in good condition.
Install the strainer (A) provided with the pump with
equivalent hole sizes on the other end of the suction
hose, and secure it with a hose clamp. The strainer will
help to prevent the pump from becoming clogged or
damaged by debris.
Never operate the pump without the strainer (A) in-
stalled.
