Loading Media in the Front Manual Feeder
Use the front manual feeder to load one cut sheet or poster board at a time in sizes from 8 × 10 inches
(203 × 254 mm) to A2 (16.5 × 23.4 inches [420 × 594 mm])/17 × 22 inches (432 × 559 mm), 8 to 17 in.
(203 to 432 mm) wide, 10 to 24 in. (154 to 610 mm) long, and 0.003 to 0.06 in. (0.08 to 1.5 mm) thick.
Note: When printing on media loaded from the front manual feeder, part of it comes out from the back of
the printer during printing. Depending on the size of the cut sheet or poster board you are printing on,
make sure there is enough space behind the printer:
• A2 (16.5 × 23.4 inches [420 × 594 mm]): approximately 14.6 in. (370 mm)
• A3+ (13 × 19 inches [329 × 483 mm]): approximately 10.2 in. (260 mm)
• A3 (11.7 × 16.5 inches [297 × 420 mm]): approximately 7.9 in. (200 mm)
• A4 (8.3 × 11.7 inches [210 × 297 mm]): approximately 2.75 in. (70 mm)
1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
2. On the control panel, select
3. Select Poster Board and then select How To....
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to load the poster board and then select the paper settings.
When printing is finished, select Start to release the pressure roller so you can pull out the poster
board.
