Your device contains an integrated modem that is used to establish a data
connection between your device and computer. Connection is made either
through a Data Cable, or by using Infrared transmission.
The usage of this wireless modem is very easy. You can just simply connect
your 388 and the PC with a Data cable (accessory), the same as connecting
with other wire modem. After that, you can use this modem function to
help you to connect your PC to the Internet.
The 388 also supports the connection of a PC to itself using IrDA, the PC
will then be able to use the modem function to connect to the Internet. In
addition to IrDA capability, you will need to install the GPRS Manager onto
your computer as well. This GPRS Manager can be executed under Windows
95/98/2000 and Windows NT environments. For more details concerning the
GPRS Manager and its installation, please refer to the document contained
with the CD.
The 388 modem supports both CSD and GPRS to connect to the Internet.
Your dial-in number and settings depend on which method you choose. For
more information, please contact your local ISP.
