Using the Complex Polygon tool (
Polygons of any shape can have holes of any shape specified in the area.
To add a polygon with holes in it to the design:

Click the
Complex Polygon
when it is moved into the design area.

Click in the design area, as if tracing the shape, to specify the punchpoints of the polygon outline.
NOTE: The tools in the
more information, see chapter 22.

Right-click once in the design area to close the polygon. A message appears in the status bar, prompting
the user to punch the hole.

Click within the polygon outline, as if tracing the shape, to specify the punchpoints of the hole outline.
NOTE: When creating a hole, do not allow punchpoints to overlap or cross. If this happens, the fill will
not appear, but there will be a trim marker.

Right-click once to close the hole.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all desired hole outlines are specified.
NOTE: Holes can be cut from polygons after they have been filled. For more information, see chapter
21.

Right-click a second time to fill the polygon.
