Onmaintenance ofthecasing
• It the casing is soiled, clean the camcorder body
with ;I sott ch)th lightly moistened with waler,
and titan wipe the casing wilh a dry soft cloth.
• Avoid the tollowing to avoid danmge to the
finish:
Using chemicals such as thinner, benzine,
alcohol, chemical cloths, repellent, insecticide
and sunscrcen,
Handling the camcorder wilh above
substances on your hands.
Leaving the casing in conlact with rubber or
vinyl ohjects tot a long period of time.
Onthe pickup lens
• Do not touch the pickup lens inside the
disc cover. Keep the disc cover closed
except when inserting and removing the
disc. tu keep dust out.
• Wheu your camcorder does oot work
because the pickup lens is dirty, clean it
with a blower (optional). Do not touch the
pickup lens directly during cleaning
because this may cause the camcorder

malfunction.

• Wipe the surtuce ot tl_e lens clean with _lsot)

When flmrc are fingerprinls on the lens
surlace.
In hot or humid locations
When the lens is exposed 1o salty air such as

• To pmvenl mold, periodically clean the lens as
described above. It is recommended that you
operale your camcorder abotll once a [nonlh 1o
kee I) il in oplilnunl state tor a long time.
About care of the viewfinder
To remove dust from inside the viewfinder,
follow the procedure below.
(_) Pull ()lit the viewfinder.
(_) While pushing in lhe lab on Ihe bullom
of the viewfiuder with a fine-tipped
implement such as a ball point pen, pull
the eyecup block in the directiuu of the
arrow to remove.
