"_i° Tips
• When the _ (Mo_Ae) hunp is lit, tile size oI
still inlages becomes [[_ 3.t)M] ( 16:9 wide) or
[2.2M] (4:3).
• You can record still images during recording
standby in the same way glSwhen lfie _ (Still)
lamp is lit. You can also record with the flash.
If you press the QUICK ON button, ittstead
of turning off the power, the camcorder
becomes power saving status (Sleep mode).
While the Sleep mode is set. the QUICK
ON button is flashed. To resume the next
recording, press the QUICK ON button
again. Your camcorder will be ready for
recording after abotlt 1 second.
"_° Tips
• While tile Sleep mode is set, tile power
consumption of the camcorder is reduced by
about a half when it is compared during
recording, and tile batte W power can be saved.
• When no operation is perlormed in the Sleep
mode, the power is turned off automatically.
You can set tile desired turn off time of tile
canlcorder with [QUICK ON STBYI (p. 97),
when the camcorder is set to the Sleep mode.
You cart record high quality still images by
pressing PHOTO while recording a movie.
The still images are recorded on the media
set on [PHOTO MEDIA SET] (HDR-
UX20) (p. 29).
O Notes
• You cannot use the flash during Dual Rec.
• When tile capacity ol the media becomes
insulticiela, or when a series oI till images are
rccoMed, _ may be displayed. You cannot
record still images while _ is displayed.

the NIGHTSHOT switch to ON. ({_

O Notes
• Tile NightShot and Super NightShot filnctiolls
use infrared light. Therelore, do not cover the
infrared port with your fingers or other ot_iects,
• Remove the converskm lens (optional),
• Adjusl the locus manually ([FOCUSI, p. 100)
when il is hard 1o locus aulomatically,

flmctions in bright places. This may cau_ a

• To record an image brighter, use Super
NightShot hmction (p. 103), To record all image
