• You cannot use [U_ DISC SELECT GUIDE]
during E;_sy Hmldycam operation (p, 34).
Pornlat the disc, lollowing tile instructions on
the screen,
O Touch [Record HD (high
definition) images.].
Touch [Record SD (standard definition)
images.] to record with SD (standard
definition/ image quality.
Items displayed vary depending on the
status of your camcorder, or the type of
disc inserted.

/ Touch the option that is right for
you on the screen.
The disc will be formatted with the
image recording quality you selected.
When the formatting is completed, you
can start recording on the disc.

• When _ou use a DVD-RW. select a
recording format, [VIDEO] or [VR],
(p. 16). If you lkmnat a disc during Easy
Handycam operation/p. 34), the
recording format is fixed to [VIDEO].
• When you use a DVD+RW. select the
aspect rmio,
[16:9 WIDE] or [4:3].
T0 removethe disc
(_) Perform steps 1 and 2 to open the disc
cover.
@ While holding the disc fastener at the
center, tip up the edge of the disc.

a disc midway.
• Be careful nol to obstruct file operation with
your hand or other objecls, etc.. when opening
or closing tile disc cover. Move the belt to the
boltoln of tile canlcorder, tbell open or close lhe
disc cover.
• If you catch the belt when closing the disc
cover, it may cause your canlcorder to
malflmction,
• Do not much tile recording side of the disc or
pickup lens (p. 133).
When using a double-sided disc, take care not 1o
snmdge the surlace with fingerprints.
• If you close the disc cover wilh the disc set
incorrectly, it may cause
your
canlcorder to
malflmction,
• Do not disconnect the power
sources durillg

• Do not apply shock or vibralion 1o your
canlcorder:
while the ACCESS lamp is on
while tile ACCESS lalnp is flashing

• II lllay take SOllle tinle to remove file disc
depending on lhe disc condilkm or recorded
materials.
• It may take up to 10 ndnutes to remove a disc if
it is damaged or is dirty with fingerprints, etc. In
that case. tile disc might be damaged.
