Elastic (for wide elastic band)
Use this technique when applying elastic to lingerie.
A soft elastic band is recommended.
(Uneven or skipped stitches may occur on thick or hard
elastic bands).
Machine setting
Number of threads: 4
Number of needles: 2
Differential feed ratio: 1.0
Stitch length: 3
Needle thread tensions
(Yellow & Blue):
3 to 6
Upper looper thread tension (Red): 3 to 6
Lower looper thread tension (Green): 3 to 6
Lower looper pre-tension setting slider: STD
Needle plate setting knob: S
Disengage upper knife (refe to page 60).

Method
i Place elastic on top of the right side of fabric and even
with the raw edge.
i Serge on elastic side along the edge, stretching elastic
in front of the needle while guiding both edges along
the guideline of the needle plate.
i Turn elastic up and press fabric down.
• Engage upper knife (refer to page 60).
