You can adapt your set-top box to your personal requirements with the settings. You can
choose the settings for the display, the sound and the language and adjust the pro-
grammes and options for recording and playback. In addition, you can adjust the chan-
nels, edit your favourite lists and prepare timer recordings.

Administering the Channel and Favourite Lists

The channel list was preset with the Country (of residence) option at initial installa-
tion. Assuming you have already performed a channel search, this preset list will have
been extended by other available channels.
If you want to limit the choice of channels for everyday use to your preferred channels,
you can create up to four favourite lists from the channel list, which for example only
contain news channels or channels used primarily by you or your children.
A predefined favourite list is created in some broadcast areas at initial installation,
which contains the most commonly used channels in your region. The available favour-
ite lists and the number of channels contained in them can be seen from the TV >
Favourites & Channel Lists menu. If a favourite list already exists, the active list is iden-
tified by a tick (see "Activating a Channel or Favourite List" on page 32).
You have the following options:
Button
Function
o
Open an existing favourite list in the editor to edit it.
i
n
Delete existing favourite list.
b
Create new favourite list (up to 4).
Select existing favourite list as the active list.
A standard editor is opened for editing a favourite list, which shows the content of the
channel list and the selected favourite list. The channels contained in the favourite list
can be sorted as required, individual channels deleted or additional channels added
from the channel list. Moreover, you can also sort the channel list with this editor, in
order for example to find a particular channel faster.
Note: The channel and favourite lists are edited for radio reception in the same way as
they are for TV reception. For radio reception, select the Radio menu instead of the
TV menu.
