Parental Lock

Activate password protection in the Settings > Parental Lock menu, which protects
your set-top box from unauthorised usage. This access lock is disabled in the delivery
version.
If the Lock Device option is activated, the Enter PIN dialog is displayed after switching
on the set-top box, which prompts you to enter your personal identification number
(PIN).

Enter the four digits of the current PIN and confirm your input in order to
activate the set-top box.
The PIN is displayed in encrypted form for all input: Each character
entered is replaced in the display with the asterisk character *.
You cannot access the set-top box until you enter a valid PIN.
If you have forgotten your PIN, your only option is to enter the so-called Master PIN: The
access lock is disabled by entering the digits 9976 and the PIN is reset to the factory
default 0000.
Activating an Access Lock

> Settings > Parental Lock > Lock Device

Activate or deactivate the Lock Device option.
As soon as the access lock is activated, the Enter PIN dialog is displayed
every time the set-top box is switched on.
Changing the PIN
The PIN for activating the access lock comprises a 4-position digit combination. The
default PIN is 0000 (4 x zero) in the delivery version and after resetting to the factory
defaults.

> Settings > Parental Lock > Change PIN

Select the New PIN: option and enter the four digits of your new PIN.
Note the new PIN and keep the note in a safe place.

Select the Confirm PIN: option and enter the four digits of your new PIN
again.

Confirm the changed PIN.
If the input in the New PIN: and Confirm PIN: fields concurs, the new PIN
is saved and is valid immediately.
