Volume level
It is often noticeable when switching channels that some channels are louder than oth-
ers. The reasons for this are the different volume levels of the channels. The volume
level setting allows you to set a level that will be activated after the set-top box is
switched on.
Before you adjust the volume level of your set-top box, you should first set a medium
base volume on your terminal device (television, stereo system, etc.).

> Settings > Picture & Sound > Sound > Volume Level

Choose one of the percentage values displayed in order to adjust the vol-
ume level of your set-top box.
Digital output
You can define which audio signal is transmitted via the digital port with the Digital
Output option.

Select which audio signal is transmitted via the DIGITAL OUT port. The
following options are available for selection.

As analogue output (Scart)
If no digital audio signal is available, the analogue audio signal, which
also exists at the TV port, is transmitted automatically.

Dolby Digital (example)
Other settings are only available if these are offered by the respective
programme.
Digital sound quality is only possible if the following requirements are fulfilled:

The selected channel is transmitting the current programme in digital sound quality
(
icon in the info bar).

The audio signals are transmitted to the terminal in digital via the DIGITAL OUT port.

The terminal is able to process digital signals (e.g. surround decoder).
