MESSAGES
Your handset can send and receive text messages. These messages can be stored
in a list with up to 10 entries. Every stored message is displayed in the message list
with the first few words of the message and can be shown in full length by means of
arrow selection and OK key. Each received message is marked with a time stamp. If
the message list is full, an Envelope symbol will flash on the display.
The character in front of a message indicates the status of the message:
U -
Urgent message
R -
Normal message, read
N -
Normal message, unread
C -
Transmitted message, confirmed
W -
Transmitted message, not yet confirmed (waiting)
F -
Message could not be transmitted successfully (failed)
When an urgent message (U) is not read within 60 seconds, it will be shown as a failed
message (F). During this 60 seconds it is not possible to send or receive other
messages.

Reading a message

1. Press the
key to go to the message menu.

key to read the message. You can use the arrow keys to move

forward or backward in the message. At the end of each message you find the time
stamp and sending number.
7.2.
Writing a new message
If the message list is not full, you can enter new text.
1. Press the
key to go to the message menu.
2. Press the
key and the upper line in the display will show READ.

4. Press the
key.

You can now enter your message. The arrow keys can be used to scroll into the
text. Pressing and holding the left arrow key will delete characters left of the cursor.
