Problem
The receiver reports: The
document transmitted is
difficult to read.
Abbreviated or one-touch
dialling do not work.
Your call does not arrive
although you have dialled
the correct number.
Possible causes ...
RESOLUTION and CONTRAST
are not set correctly.
The telephone connection is
poor.
Abbreviated or one-touch
dialling number is not correctly
stored.
If you are connected to a PABX:
You have set the wrong line
type.
Your fax machine is not
connected to the PSTN.

Make a copy on your fax machine (see
page
35) and adjust the settings to your
document. You can also improve
document quality: By making the print on
the photocopy darker, enlarging or
reducing. (see
page 50
/ 51). Then send
again.
Redial. You may get a better
conncection.
Check and correct stored numbers (see
page 77
/ 82).
Set the line types to EXTENSION (see
page
18).
Plug the connecting cable of your fax
machine into the socket (see
page
9).
