Chapter 6 Wireless LAN Applications

Introduction

Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) allow mobile computers to communicate wirelessly inside a facility and
send data to a host server in real time.
Before using the VC70 to operate wirelessly in a facility, the facility must be set up with the required hardware to
run the WLAN and the VC70 must be configured.
To configure the VC70, the Wireless Fusion Enterprise Mobility tool is provided. Fusion includes a set of wireless
applications used for configuring and testing the WLAN radio inside the VC70.
To setup and configure the WLAN inside the facility, refer to the documentation provided with the host server
software and access point units (APs) of the facility.
NOTE The WLAN operation in the VC70 is active by default.
