AMIBIOS displayed error messages

The following section describes the operation of the CPV5000 when the BIOS
detects an error during power up of the CPV5000. The explanation assumes
that a copy of AMI diagnostics is available to assist with debug of the problem.
If an error occurs after the system display initializes, error messages are
displayed as follows:

Gate A20 on the keyboard controller (8042) is not working. Replace the
8042.
Error in the address decoding circuitry
No response from drive C:. Run the AMIDiag hard disk utility. Check
the C: hard disk type in Standard Setup.
No response from hard disk drive C:. Replace the drive.
Cache memory is defective. Run AMIDiag.
An AT system has two timers. There is an error in timer 2.
CMOS RAM is powered by a battery. The battery power is low. Replace
the battery.
CMOS RAM checksum is different than the previous value. Run
WINBIOS Setup.
The values stored in CMOS RAM are destroyed. Run WINBIOS Setup.
