• For available memory space less than the values listed below, recording will
be canceled.

• Turning off the power will stop recording.
• Alarm setting will be disabled during recording.

Launching the Recorder with the Calendar key

You can launch the Voice Recorder when the SL-5600 is turned off or while closing
the Voice Recorder and running other applications.
1.
Press and hold the Calendar key (
The Voice Recorder application will launch, display the Control screen and start
recording.
2.
Tap or press the SELECT key to stop recording.
The recorded file will be displayed in the Index.
Note:
• To prevent launching this function by mistake, you can disable it while the
power is turned off. (See page 120.)
• When the power is turned off and the Security function is turned on, the
passcode has to be entered at power-on. After that, press and hold the
Calendar key again.
• Recording is not allowed under the following conditions:
- During Internet browsing
- During e-mail transfer
- While playing a file with the Media Player
- While communicating with a PC
- While displaying the Preferences screen of the Voice Recorder. (See page
120.)
