Checking the Tire Pressure
Service Interval: Every 50 hours/Monthly (whichever
comes first)
Maintain the air pressure in the rear tires at 90 kPa (13 psi).
Uneven tire pressure can cause uneven cut. Check the tires
when they are cold to get the most accurate pressure reading.
Note: The front tires are semi-pneumatic tires and do not
require air pressure maintenance.
Checking the Wheel Lug Nuts
Check and torque the wheel lug nuts to 122-129 N-m (90-95
ft-lb).
Checking the Wheel Hub
Slotted Nut
Service Interval: After the first 100 hours
Every 500 hours
See Figure 65 to determine which slotted nut has been
installed on the unit.
1. Style A (black finish)
2. 0.76 mm (0.03 inch)
•
Style A (black finish):
Torque the slotted nut to 286-352 N-m (211-260 ft-lb).
Note: Do not use anti-seize on wheel hub.
•
Style B (yellow zinc):

3. Style B (yellow zinc)
4. 6 mm (0.24 inch)
1. Remove and discard the cotter pin.
2. Torque the slotted nut to 271 N-m (200 ft-lb).
3. Check distance from bottom of slot in nut to inside
edge of hole. Two threads [2.5 mm (0.1 inch)] or
less should be showing.
1. 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) max
4. If more than two threads [2.5 mm (0.1 inch)] are
showing remove nut and install washer between
hub and nut.
5. Torque the slotted nut to 271 N-m (200 ft-lb).
6. Then tighten nut until the next set of slots line up
with the cross hole in shaft. Do not loosen nut to
align the slot. If required, tighten to the next set
of slots.
7. Install a new cotter pin.
Note: Do Not use anti-seize on wheel hub.
