2. Deck strut (right side shown)
3. Remove the rear deck lift attachment shoulder bolt and nut.
4. Remove the front deck lift attachment shoulder bolt and nut.
9. Raise the deck struts and secure them in the up
position.
10. Slide the deck out to the right side of the machine.

Installing the Mower Deck

1. Slide the deck under the machine from the right side.
2. Lower the deck struts, and align them with the brackets
on the mower deck.
Note: Secure the struts in the down position.
3. Align the holes in the struts with the holes in the deck
brackets.
4. Secure the struts to the brackets with the nuts
and shoulder bolts that were removed in step 8 of
Removing the Mower Deck (page 58).
5. Lift up the floor pan and insert a ratchet into the square
hole in the deck idler (Figure 95).
6. Rotate the deck idler counterclockwise, and install the
mower belt around the clutch pulley (Figure 95).
Important: Ensure the belt routed is as shown in
Figure 97.

7. Align the holes in the floor pan to the holes
in the machine and secure the floor pan with
the bolts that were removed in step 5 of
Removing the Mower Deck (page 58).
8. Check the deck to ensure tat it is level; refer to
Deck Leveling (page 54).
9. Set the mower deck to the desired height of cut; refer
to Adjusting the Height of Cut (page 24)
