About this chapter
This chapter describes the display, its keys (buttons) and LEDs that make up the
HMI. How the keys are used to navigate the HMI, how to interpret the graphic
information on the LCD and, what the LEDs indicate is explained in the sections
that follow.

Overview

The human machine interface is used to monitor and to some extent control the
way the IED operates. The configuration designer can add functions that alert to
events requiring the attention of the operator.
