2.2 Scanning

To scan papers, follow the instruction below to avoid errors such as paper jam.
Advance Preparation
① Check the sheets for the following:

• Remove paper clips, staplers,
and other substances.
• If the sheet is wet with ink or
adhesive, wait until dries.
• Align the edges of papers to
avoid skew.
• If the tip of the sheet is bent,
unbend it.
• If the sheet is wrinkled or curled,
smooth it out.
• Take a stack of papers about
15-20 mm or thinner, hold both
edges gently, and bend it.
• Hold the edges firmly, and
unbend the stack of papers. This
will remove air between the
papers
• Repeat this action two or three
times.
• Rotate the stack 90 degrees, and
repeat the above process.
