1.4 Grounding and AC Cabling

The ETH (Earth Ground Lug) is located near the power supply on the KSU. The Sub-Cover must be
opened in order to access to it.

1.4.1 Grounding the KSU

Ensure Main KSU are powered off and unplug the AC cord.
In the KSU, connect the ETH lug to the verified grounding point using a minimum cable size of
14AWG (Φ2.0 mm) wire.

1.
Loosen the screw.
2.
Insert a grounding wire (user supplied).
3.
Tighten the screw.
4.
Connect the grounding wire to earth ground.
Proper grounding is very important to protect the system from external
noise and to reduce the risk of electrocution in the event of a lightning
strike.

1.4.2 AC Power Requirement

A dedicated 100V-120V/220V/230V/240V 50/60Hz circuit located within two meters of the KSU is
required. A separate dedicated AC outlet is necessary for the KSU.
Double Pole/Neutral Fusing
