Installation Guide
IMPORTANT!
Before installing the device, note the following:
• An appropriately rated DC circuit breaker must be installed.
• Use only #16 gage copper wiring when connecting terminal blocks.
• Equipment must be installed according to applicable local wiring codes and standards.
To connect a low DC power supply to the device, do the following:
1.
Connect the power supply terminal block to the device.

1. Surge Ground Terminal

Connect the positive wire from the power source to the positive terminal on the terminal block.
3.
Connect the negative wire from the power source to the negative terminal on the terminal block.
4.
Using a braided wire or other appropriate grounding wire, connect the surge ground terminal to the chassis
ground connection. The surge ground terminal is used as the ground conductor for all surge and transient
suppression circuitry internal to the unit.
5.
Connect the ground terminal on the power source to the chassis ground terminal on the device.

For increased signal coverage and improved performance, the LTE and GPS antennas are intended to be
installed in a remote location separate from the RX1400.
