5 Replacing Components of the BBU3900

Procedure
Step 1 Instruct the M2000 administrator to perform the following operations for the replacement of the
WBBP:

Step 2 Wear an ESD wrist strap or a pair of ESD gloves.
Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or a pair of ESD
gloves, to prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.
Step 3 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the board to be replaced.
Step 4 Disconnect the CPRI cable from the WBBP, as shown in

Step 5 Loosen the two M3 screws on the panel, and then remove the WBBP, as shown in
5-19.

The WBBP is hot-swappable.
Back up the service data or transfer the service carried by the board to be replaced if
required.
Run the BLK BRD command to block the WBBP.
