! When the capture function is enabled, the function to save the logging
data by pressing and holding the [Lap] button while logging is stopped
will not work.

■Performing Initialization

You can return the device system and application settings to the default states by
selecting [Initialize / Back Up] → [Initialize] in the system settings described in the
previous section.
When initialization completes, a message appears and the device restarts the
system automatically.
After the restart, the initial setup screen appears. Perform the initial setup.

! If the device is connected to a PC with a USB cable, disconnect it before
performing the initialization.
! While the device is connected with a PC, the contents of the memory
may not be able to be displayed or updated.
Updating will occur if you disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable.
! If this device is performing logging, stop logging and save the log data.
! When initialization is performed, the system data is lost.
Save the backup data to the storage media of a PC or other device
before the initialization.

■Making a Backup

Initialized data
The settings target for initialization are the system settings, except for the [Date &
Time], and the settings and log data of the meter screen.
All map data will be deleted and will not return to the default state. Please down-
load the latest map again.

You can create backup data of the device system and application settings by
selecting [Initialize / Back Up] → [Back Up] in the system settings described in the
previous section.
If, for example, you accidentally initialize the system, you can restore the system by
using a the backup data.
