Transfer to Third Parties
Observe the following precautions if you want to transfer (or sell) NeoFace to a third party. Please hand over this document
along when transferring (or selling) NeoFace to a third party.
Data in the fixed disk drive
Erasing all the data from the fixed disk drive mounted in NeoFace with the responsibility of the customer is very important
when transferring NeoFace to a third party to ensure that the data (such as customer information and corporate accounting
information) is not leaked to the third party.
Customers are requested to delete the data at their own responsibility.
When "Empty trash" operation or "Format" command of the operating system is used for deleting the data, the data appears to
be deleted, but the actual data is still present in the fixed disk drive.
Data that has not been completely erased may be restored using special software and diverted to unexpected uses.
NEC strongly recommends customers to erase data securely by using commercially available erasing software (paid) or
service (paid).
NEC shall not take the responsibility if important data is leaked during transferring (or selling) without erasing the data.
Bundled Software
Observe the following precautions when transferring the bundled software to a third party.
Transferor shall transfer all the bundled software and not hold any copies.
Assignment and transfer conditions listed in the "Software License Agreement" that comes with each software must be satisfied.
Bundled software that is not authorized for assignment and transfer must be uninstalled from the customer PC before handing over
to the third party.
