Dell™ EqualLogic® PS Series arrays optimize resources by automating capacity, performance, and network
load balancing. Additionally, PS Series arrays offer all-inclusive array management software and firmware
updates. Dell EqualLogic FS Series appliances, combined with PS Series arrays, offer a high-performance, high-
availability, scalable NAS solution.
Audience
The information in this guide is intended for hardware administrators. A dministrators are not required to have
extensive network or storage system experience. However, it is helpful to understand:
• Basic networking concepts
• Current network environment
• User disk storage requirements
• RAID configurations
• Disk storage management
Note: Although this manual provides examples of using PS Series arrays in some common network
configurations, detailed information about setting up a network is beyond its scope.
