Friction characteristic technology function
Commissioning using parameters
Speeds for making measurements as a function of the maximum speed p1082 are
pre-assigned in p382x when commissioning the drive system for the first time.
These can be appropriately changed corresponding to the actual requirements.
The automatic friction characteristic plot can be activated using p3845. The char-
acteristic is then plotted the next time that it is enabled.
The following settings are possible:
S p3845 = 0
S p3845 = 1
The friction characteristic curve will be recorded in both directions of rotation.
The result of the positive and negative measurement is averaged and entered
into p383x.
S p3845 = 2
S p3845 = 3

When plotting the friction characteristic, the drive causes the motor to move – the
maximum motor speed can be reached.
The emergency OFF functions must be fully operational during commissioning.
To protect the machines and personnel, the relevant safety regulations must be
observed.
Commissioning via STARTER
In STARTER, the friction characteristic curve can be commissioned via the screen
under "Functions".
