Procedure
Step 1 Switch the SPD circuit breaker to OFF.
Step 2 (Optional) Remove the protective panel of the SPD.
Avoid touching any charged body when removing the protective panel.
Step 3 Measure the L1, L2, L3, and N voltages to the PE using a multimeter, and replace the faulty
SPD module after verifying that there is no voltage on the SPD.
Step 4 Hold the faulty SPD module and pull it out, as shown in
Figure 8-1 Replacing an SPD module
Step 5 Install a new module in the SPD.
Step 6 Switch the SPD circuit breaker to ON.
Step 7 (Optional) Reinstall the protective panel.

8.4.2 Replacing an Indicator

Prerequisites
Issue 01 (2016-03-04)
Materials: new SPD module
If one SPD module is damaged by lightening, it is recommended that all SPD modules be replaced.
If a faulty SPD module cannot be pulled out, use a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver to lever it
out.
An indicator is faulty.
Spare indicators of the same model are available and functional.
