Performance features of the smart assembly interface

● The devices are addressed via 7KN Powercenter 3000 with one IP address only. This
saves costs if the network infrastructure is charged for based on IP addresses.
● The devices can be accessed with uniform security settings via the external interface.
This saves administration work and reduces errors due to missing security settings.
● The security measures (see chapter Security features (Page 38)) of the internal interface
are activated in the delivery condition.
● Transmission rates 10/100 Mbps
● RJ45 socket (8P8C) on the underside of the device for RJ45 connector with EIA/TIA
T568B assignment
● Cable type 100Base-TX (CAT5e). The Ethernet cable must be grounded for data
transmission according to the Fast Ethernet standard.
● Auto negotiation
● MDI-X auto crossover
● Communication over Modbus TCP
● Interface with web browsers. Various browser types are supported.
