When failed to connect via Ethernet port:
When the Ethernet port of this product does not work normally, check the following:
Is port properly configured (e.g., IP address)?
Configure the port according to (3.9 Internally Managed Switch Configuration) in the SwitchX
36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User Manual.
Is port properly configured (e.g., IP address)?
Check if port is properly configured by executing CLI commands ("show interface mgmt0"
command /"show interface mgmt1" command).
Is cable connected to correct destination port?
Check if cable is connected to proper destination port according to "4. Names and Features of
Component" in this manual.
When InfiniBand device is not detected:
If the InfiniBand port does not work or does not link up, or if the InfiniBand device connected with this
product is not detected by OS or becomes inaccessible, check the following and take an appropriate
action. See also the User's Guide of InfiniBand device or application program.
Is the status of InfiniBand port normal?
Check the status of InfiniBand port according to (2.3 Port Connector LEDs) in the SwitchX
36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User Manual.
Is the InfiniBand cable properly connected?
Check the connection status of InfiniBand cable.
Is InfiniBand cable in normal state?
Check if InfiniBand cable is not bent or broken.
Is the device connected with this product starting and working correctly?
Refer to the manual of the connected device, and check if the device starts and works normally
including its driver.
Is there at least one subnet managers in InfiniBand fabric?
At least one subnet manager must exist in InfiniBand fabric to manage/control all over the
InfiniBand fabric (InfiniBand network). Check if one or more subnet manager work correctly
including onboard subnet manager of the product.
Before using Ethernet port, first you need to access the switch console

Among two Ethernet ports, only port0 can be configured by performing
procedures described in (3.9 Internally Managed Switch Configuration)
in the SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User
Manual.
