5. If the level is low, open the hydraulic-tank cap, add a
small amount of oil and wait 2 minutes for the oil level
to stabilize in the sight gauge
Note: The oil level is between 1/2 to 2/3 full in the
sight gauge when the oil is at ambient temperature or if
the engine has not yet been started for the day.
6. Continue to add the appropriate fluid in small
increments until it reaches Full on the sight gauge
(Figure
108).
7. Install cap onto the filler neck.

Changing the Hydraulic-Fluid Return
Filter
Service Interval: Every 500 hours/Every 6 months
(whichever comes first)
1. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine,
and remove the ignition key.
2. Open the front hood.
3. Clean the area around the filler neck and cap of the
hydraulic tank.
4. Open the hydraulic-tank cap
1. Hydraulic-tank cap
5. Discard the old hydraulic-fluid return filter.
6. Install a new hydraulic-fluid return filter.
Changing the Hydraulic-Pressure Filter
Service Interval: Every 500 hours/Every 6 months
(whichever comes first)
1. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine,
and remove the ignition key.
2. Open the front hood.
3. Place a drain pan under the filter.
4. Using a filter wrench, remove the hydraulic-pressure
filter
(Figure
