Install telephones connected to DSTU and ASTU PCBs as on-premise extensions only.
Where to Install the PCBs
Review System Configuration on page 1-1 before installing any PCBs. Always observe the System Load
Factor when configuring your system.
The CPU (Central Processing Unit) PCB must plug into slot
A 16DSTU (16 Digital Station) PCB must plug into slot
All other PCBs (including 16DSTU PCBs) can plug into slots
- Slots CN5-CN8 are only available with the 8 slot cabinet.
- A 4 slot cabinet can only accept two 16DSTU PCBs.
- In an 8 slot cabinet, you can have only two 16DSTU PCBs per power supply.
After plugging in your PCBs and powering up the system, use 9902 -Slot Control to enable the
installed PCBs. See Using Program 9902 in DS2000 to Add or Delete PCBs in your Quick Setup Guide
for more.

Do not plug in the CPU PCB hot (i.e., with the system power applied).
•
You can plug in ASTU and ATRU PCBs hot as required.
•
You can plug in DSTU PCBs hot provided you first disconnect the station cabling from the PCB.
