Blades are refitted in reverse order. Blade screw
(1) tightening torque is 45-50 Nm (32-36 lbft),
(Hand drawn)
Screws securing the blade adapter (2) must be
tightened to the flat surface of the motor shaft.

7.11 Grinding and Balancing Blades

WARNING!
Use glove to protect hands when
working on the blades.

Remove the blades as described in the previous
section.

Fasten the blades in a vice and sharpen with a file.

Balance the blades as follows:
• Attach a mandrel, for example, horizontally in a
vice as shown.
• Place the hole in the center of the blade
over the mandrel and make sure it balances.
The illustration shows a blade that requires
adjustment, it must be ground more to attain the
right balance (at the arrow).
• Assembly is done in reverse order to removal.
WARNING!
If the blade is cracked from
incorrect repair or other damage,
it can break when being used.
This risk blade fracture increases
if it is not balanced correctly.
