75 Z Z Z Z Z termination switch
Set the 75 Z termination switch of the REF VIDEO INPUT signal according to the purpose.
Set this switch to OFF if REF VIDEO signal is output with loop through connection (when no terminat-
ing).
This switch is set to ON in factory.

1-13. HDD Physical Format and Logical Format

For details of formatting, refer to the Operation Manual recorded in the CD-ROM of the BZSR-2000
Sample version.
1. Perform the physical formatting from the BZSR-2000.

. It takes approximately 30 minutes (when 73 GB HDD is installed) to complete the physical format-
ting. Do not reset during the physical formatting. Also, do not turn off the main power during the
physical formatting.
. When physical formatting is completed, confirm that the HDD state is normal. When an error
occurs, format again. If an error occurs again, replace the HDD or contact your local Sony Sales
Office/Service Center.
2. Upon completion of physical formatting, execute the logical formatting.

. Be careful not to make mistake in selecting either NTSC or PAL mode that must suit to your
operating environment when starting the logical formatting.
. If you have changed the mode from NTSC to PAL mode or vice versa, be sure to execute the
logical formatting.

Executing the physical/logical formatting clears all of the previously recorded data.
