4 OPERATION

4.3 Setting CPU/LPU Module Switches

Set the CPU module or LPU module switches as indicated below:
For CPU module
• LADDER switch: STOP
• MODE switch: NORM or SIMU
• PROTECT switch: ON or OFF
For LPU module
• LADDER switch: STOP
• RESET switch: OFF

4.4 Connect Personal Computer

Have on hand a personal computer on which the system is installed (see "4.8 Installing and
Starting Up the System"). Connect this personal computer to the CPU unit or LPU unit.

4.5 Switching ON

Open the power supply module cover, and then switch on the power by placing the POWER
switch in the ON position.
