If the problem still persists,
What is actually happening
The unit is not equipped with a cooling function, and naturally
generates some heat during operation. Also, with doors and
windows closed, the temperature may rise not only due to the
unit, but also any other heat sources inside the room. This
may cause the room temperature to rise from 3 to 8 °C.
→ Set the unit to "Auto" mode.
( "Auto" mode is the operating mode most effective in
minimizing the rise in room temperature.)
The unit operates in fan mode for the first 3 minutes or so to
protect the device.
When the room temperature is more than 30 °C, the airflow is
automatically increased to protect the device. This causes the
operating noise to become louder.
When frost accumulates on the cooler during operation, the
unit begins defrost operation. In defrost mode, the airflow is
automatically increased, causing the operating noise to become
louder. Defrost operation takes up to 10 minutes, after which the
unit will return to the airflow for the set operating mode.
There is the sound of water trickling or a hissing sound.
- This is the coolant* flowing inside the unit.
* Coolant refers to the gas used to cool the inside of the unit.
The unit may operate with loud noise for several minutes
when operation is started at a low temperature or when the
operating mode is changed. (The exact duration differs
according to the conditions.)
When the Power Off/On button is pressed, or in Louver Direction
mode, the louver motor may operate and produce noise for several
seconds, even though the louver does not move.
What to inspect
Is the filter clogged?
→ Clean the filter.
Is something blocking the air intake or outlets?
→ Make sure there is nothing blocking the air intake and outlets.
Is the room humidity too low?
→ Allow the unit to cool for 30 minutes or so, then start operation
again in a location with humidity of at least 20%.
