Detach the protective conductor from
the Motor Module.
Screwdriver: Torx 20
Installing a new fan
1. Insert a new fan assembly into the Motor Module. The power supply for the fan is
automatically established.
2. Connect the protective conductor to the Motor Module. Tightening torque: 3 Nm
3. Reattach the shield connection plate and tighten the fastening screws. Tightening torque:
3 Nm
4. Reconnect the motor connector (or connectors).
5. Reattach the shield connection clamp and tighten the fastening screws. Tightening
torque: 0.8 Nm
Replacing the fan for 100 mm modules
The procedure for replacing the fan of 100 mm modules is the similar to the procedure for
50 mm modules. Since the protective conductor is not located behind, but next to the shield
connection plate, this plate can be detached first. After the new fan has been installed, the
last step in the process is to reattach the shield connection plate and tighten its fastening
screws.
