Extension Group

Extensions Groups are lists of extensions that share a single mailbox. (Extensions in the group may
have their own mailboxes as well.) When a message is recorded for an Extension Group, the
Message Waiting Notification lamps on all members' extensions can light, and will turn off when one
of the members has played back the group's messages. The VPS can maintain a maximum of 20
Extension Group Lists. Each list can have a maximum of 100 member extensions. The system
administrator can create and edit the Extension Groups.
Follow the steps below to edit Extension Group screen:
[Addition of Group List No.]
1.
Click Add....
2.
Enter a group list number and a group name.
3.
Click OK.
[Deletion of Group List No.]
1.
Select the desired group list number.
2.
Click Delete.
3.
Click OK.
[Edit of Group List No.]
1.
Select the desired group list number.
2.
Click Edit....
3.
Edit parameters in the Edit Mailbox Group dialogue box.
4.
Click OK.
[Recording of Group List Name in the Add/Edit Mailbox Group dialogue box]
1.
Select "Record from extension" or "Import from recorded file".
When "Record from extension" is selected
1.
Specify the extension number of the telephone used for recording, then click Connect.
2.
When the specified extension rings, go off-hook.
3.
Click
voice label through the extension.
4.
Click Disconnect.
5.
Click OK.
When "Import from recorded file" is selected
1.
Click ....
The Open dialogue box appears.
2.
Navigate to the folder containing the WAV files you want to open.
(WAV files must meet the following specifications: IMA ADPCM codec, 8.000 Khz, 4 bit,
mono.)
3.
Select the desired WAV file.
4.
Click Open to import the file.
[Starting/Stopping Playback of Group List Name Label]
1.
Select the desired group list number.
2.
Click Play or Stop.
[Add Subscriber to Group List]
1.
Select the desired group list number.
